Ways to Help Prevent Ice Dams from Happening
There are a few ways for a homeowner to prevent ice dams from occurring. One is to make sure that your insulation is up to code and that large air leaks are sealed. This will ensure that your attic stays cold enough that the snow on the shingles and rooftop won’t melt and form ice dams.
Another way is to remove as much snow off of your roof. This option is not always the easiest thing to achieve, so another, safer alternative is to use a long-handled roof rake to remove the snow. This will allow the snow melt to not pool up behind a dam and get under your shingles.

I had a wonderful experience with Advanced Cleaning and Restoration! I had an unfortunate experience when my roof was installed poorly and when a large rain storm came through weeks later, it collected down the entire western side of my home. It completely destroyed my master bathroom, daughter's bedroom, 2 guest bathrooms, and my family room. They worked flawlessly with my insurance company to get estimates taken care of and even worked with them when my insurance company severely underestimated repair work. They squeezed me in and made me feel important considering nearly half my house was destroyed. They were always prompt at replying to my texts, and they went above and beyond to provide me peace of mind. We had the roof fixed by the roofing company, but when I saw what appeared to be more damage on my ceiling, I asked if they would be willing to come out with their thermal camera to do some testing. Out of their own kindness, they walked around my entire house pointing in corners and at walls to ensure me that there was no new damage. They allowed me to work with them on the rebuild of my completely gutted bathroom. I got to pick out my vanity, flooring, light fixtures, and brand new toilet. It was so much fun being a part of the process and watch my 90's bathroom be transformed into the modern ages. There was even a situation where they did a walk through and noticed that some drywall work wasn't to their standard, so they redid it to make sure it was up to their standard. I honestly wouldn't have known a difference, but you could tell they took pride in the work they did because of that. I love the work that they have done and I could go on and on with this review, but I worry about losing the interest of people who might be reading this! Overall, WONDERFUL company. Great people to work with. So glad I made the decision to call them during one of the most stressful moments in my life. Thank you Advanced Cleaning and Restoration for restoring my home and family from a very unfortunate event.P.S. Edit: I forgot to mention that if it weren't for Lucas and his knowledge of roofs (he used to install them), my roof wouldn't have even been fixed in the first place! The people who installed my roof were so naive and didn't know what they were doing, that he actually went up there speaking fluent Spanish, pointed out all their flaws, had to educate them on what to fix, how to fix it, AND followed up with me to make sure that they followed through on the repairs. I am sure that doesn't fall into his normal scope of work (maybe it does), but he did it anyway to make sure I was taken care of and got the root cause of my issues taken care of.

Our garage was wrecked into destroying the garage door and one interior wall. The restoration crew got our garage door opening boarded up and got right to work on fixing our wall the same day we called them. The wall restoration was complex with custom shelves and angles. They returned the wall back to its original state and we are very happy with the speed and quality of work that was done. I called Advanced Cleaning & Restoration with my concerns about possible flooding this Spring and what I could have on hand in the event of a flood in my basement, which is in the beginning phases of being finished. Without naming a specific brand, they talked me through what features to look for in a backup utility/sump pump (hooks to a simple garden hose, submersible, at least 1/4 HP, and picking up as close to the ground as possible). I appreciate them giving of their time to answer my questions!

We had a flood from a water heater leak which ruined a bathroom floor, a bedroom floor and hallway flooring along with sheetrock damage. The water mitigation crew did an excellent job of getting all the damaged flooring and sheetrock out and everything dried up and the sheetrock repaired and painted. Ben took over as project manager to get all the flooring replaced. He was very helpful in helping us select the right flooring and trim. He was very clear in communicating the cost of the repairs so there was no hidden costs or surprises. Dee did most of the flooring work along with Jacob. They did a great job in laying the new luxury vinyl flooring and trim. They made sure everything was done to the highest standards including caulking and painting all cut joints and the trim along the wall. I highly recommend them.

Everyone who participated in cleaning up water damage due to a water heater leak was professional and timely or communicated when changes were necessary. Our floors look wonderful! Dee (and Jacob) did a great job on the floor installation. We really appreciated the fact that prior to leaving each evening everything was tidied up so there was not a big mess. Ben was easy to talk to and was very helpful in getting the project completed. Advance Cleaning and Restoration was my first call when the upper floor of my house flooded from a leak.The remediation team came in and remediate the water. But this is not why I am writing this review. Ben, their general contractor is outstanding. He worked with us on the remodel and repair of our upper floor. The damage was significant. He walked us through the insurance and helped my wife get the best value for the money we got. Then he brought in his A-Team. Carl and the guys are doing an amazing job. Safety is huge for me and my family. Each and every one of them are trustworthy and just good people. We will be back in the house by the end of this week ahead of schedule. I called with questions regarding my situation. Mike, the gentleman and professional who took my call, was in the middle of another phone call, who he briefly placed on hold to answer my call. He gave me a few moments of time to explain my situation, he explained that he would be happy to help but had to finish up his other call before he could be of assistance to me and offered to call me back. Ben and the crew did a great job taking the stress out of what could have been a very stressful situation. I appreciate that they showed up when they said they would and the final price was what they had quoted. You can't even tell that there had been water damage. No visible seams in drywall, no carpet damage or lingering smell, and the paint matched perfect. Hope we don't have a problem again but if we do I wouldn't think twice about calling them again.

I really appreciated the work that Mike’s crew did to clean up my front room which was filled with insulation and that fell from my ceiling falling in. They had that cleaned out in a couple of days and then Ben went fight for me with my insurance company to get the money that I should get as owed . It took numerous phone calls and unanswered calls from the insurance company but he didn’t give up and kept working till we got it all solved and and got paid out it took a long time but no fault of advance cleaning it was my insurance company so I was very happy with the work they did.

Advanced Cleaning and Restoration was been there for my family since the very first phone call. We needed help asap after we were left high and dry in the middle of a flood/mold disaster downstairs. I was greeted in a polite, professional manner during that call and I felt heard and was treated with urgency. Their crew showed up on time ready to work. Everything was handled on their part with the insurance and we were not bothered at all because stuff got done, insurance pulled through and people got paid. When their first team arrived there were mushrooms growing in my guestroom carpet, they had already been there for weeks by that point. The smell was bad. The carpet couldn't be saved and some walls had to go, but their team of professionals was ready to take on the tasks that needed to be done and they had the tools and equipment to tackle the disgusting basement. There were separate crews that were in charge of accomplishing different jobs which I thought was pretty cool too. I got to meet many of their employees and they were all quite knowledgeable and if I had questions or concerns Advanced Cleaning and Restoration was there to ease my concerns and answer my questions. I felt comfortable and at ease and I trusted them being in my home while I ran errands.They worked with me on financial stuff and kept me informed and updated on what was going on every step of the way. One of their crews boxed all the clothes hanging in the closets, cleaned and disinfected all of the floors and stairs and disinfected all bedroom & household items and decor. All of the beds, mattresses and furniture were handled with care and were moved from room to room during the process which was convenient. This company has proven to be everything I didn't expect in a good way😄and I'm very grateful for their help. The job was quick and my basement looks awesome. From mold removal/clean up to carpet/floors to walls and stairs, they do it all. At the end things were put back together better than before. My husband and I cannot recommended them enough. This may be a bit unusual for a review but our experience was wonderful we didn't have anything cleaned or restoration done, my wife had a flat tire on the side of the road these kind people Kevin and Derek were the first to stop and help change the tire and get my wife back on the road. Total ceiling collapse was cleaned up and restored to better than original standards. They handled all subcontractors as our general contractor and did a marvelous job of working with our insurance carrier. We had an evacuation pump stop working and resulted in the flooding of gray water into our basement. It effected almost the entirety of the basement. All carpets had to be removed, drywall had to be cut out along with baseboards removed.Ben and his team were amazing and very professional. All was going well. We got right to the end and carpet was the final task to finish the job. When it arrived it was found that the carpet was no longer made the same way. The color was wrong and the quality was not the same. Dee, Jacob, and Joey sprung into action. Advanced Cleaning & Restoration came to my house immediately after being recommended by a plumber for a shower leak. They gave great advice about how to take care of the problem, worked with my insurance company, were professional, helped me pick out beautiful tile. They came over Christmas break when I had lots of company in town to help get things done as quickly as possible. And they even saw that we were feeling a little under the weather and brought up a chocolate ice cream cake to help us feel better. When a new shower door had to be special ordered, they took care of everything with the insurance, and made sure that it was beautifully installed. They always communicated when they would be there and left the space clean so we could continue to use it. Had water damage due to a hose bib breaking. I called in the evening and Mike came right over to assess. He had the guys come first thing in the morning and get the dryers going. This is their busy time so my basement got a little delayed. But once things got going, they were on top of it. Every person that came over to work called me first. We had water damage due to a plumbing issue. The plumbing company which caused the damage called Advanced Cleaning & Restoration Services. Lucas and his team dried all the damage. Then Joey came out and repaired our downstairs ceiling in addition to our upstairs EnSuite closet. Joey not only replaced the damaged carpet pad but also replaced the damage drywall and painted the closet. Joey is a very professional and knowledgeable individual on your team. A few weeks ago, our hose bib busted and caused the basement to flood through the window well. After calling around to several similar places, I spoke with Nolan on the phone. He was very courteous and polite and assured me he would have someone out in a matter of minutes. About 30-45 minutes after speaking on the phone, one of the technicians (Matt) showed up. Being a Saturday, he did what he could do (took up the damaged flooring, sucked up any and all water, cleared the entire damaged room of things, etc) and informed me he would be back first thing Monday morning. And he was! By 9 am, I had a work crew in my basement clearing and cleaning, and in less than two weeks my house was perfectly back to normal - better than normal, even. Nolan and Lucas worked with my insurance to ensure I got the full amount of coverage possible, and everyone who set foot in my house was dependable and trustworthy, not to mention professional!I would recommend Advanced Cleaning and Restoration ten times over if I could, and should something else happen, they will definitely be the first I call!

We had a water pipe break in the upstairs bathroom. Advanced was quick to respond and worked easily with our insurance adjuster. Ben was particularly helpful! We have a beautiful parquet floor from the 1960s, and he found the perfect company to do the floors. I'd highly recommend Advanced Cleaning and Restoration!

I called Advanced Cleaning & Restoration for a second opinion. The owner rushed right out and took readings. He was prompt, polite, and professional! He was thorough in his evaluation. He let me know that things were missed and there were still wet spots in my floors, walls, and insulation. He answered all of my questions referring to my flood damage and was very knowledgeable about the insurance aspect of things. My one regret is I did not call Advanced Cleaning & Restoration first. They will be first next time I have any home flood, or fire damages.

This is absolutely a professional group of cleaning & restoration workers. I experienced a busted water pipe in my master bathroom. Water spreader to my main bathroom, then ended up leaking across to my downstairs bathroom.
